5th Week of School (Sept.27-Oct. 1st)

 Thank you for stopping by to look at our work and to see that we've been up to this week at school.


This week we;

-had a virtual visit with Sheila Bean from Stampede School

-had a virtual visit from Ms.Kathleen from the OH Ranch

-wrote a Waste in Our World quiz (quizzes came home in the agenda for parents to see and sign)

-learned about the 7 Sacred Teachings

-painted our 7 Sacred Teachings rocks and created a rock garden in front of the school

-participated in the Terry Fox Run

-wrote about Terry Foxes dream to end cancer

-continued reading Wonder

-Read "Phyllis's Orange Shirt" and "When I was Eight".  

-Coloured feathers and added words of how children should feel at school. "Safe" "Cared for" "Respected" "Important" "Loved" etc.

 Hello All, We had a very short week but covered lots of very important concepts.  This week we spend a lot of time talking about, writing and sharing compliments.  We each practiced writing 3 compliments for 3 different people.   Thank you to Terra (Teddy's Mom) who shared a video with us called "Beyond My Face".  We watched this video multiple times before writing personal responses. 23rd Week of School (Feb.22-25th)

 Hello Room 9! This week we; -wrapped up the gymnastics unit with Mission Impossible.  We took advantage of the fresh snow and went snowshoeing twice. -learned about the Metis People and Voyageurs. Next week we will have a quiz on the Voyageurs. -reviewed what Pink Shirt Day is, how it got started and how we should treat other people -created a Multiplication Visual Journal anchor chart (grade 3) -began talking about our upcoming short story writing unit.  "If I was an exemplary citizen the things I would do are;"
